An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a FTSE100 Engineering company at one of their sites in Hamilton for a 6 month FTC contract.

The successful candidate will be given an opportunity to get their foot in the door of a prestigious and rapidly expanding Engineering company. You will assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of the financial and management accounts, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, weekly cash flows and supporting Account Management Process.

Roles and responsibilities include:

* Production of monthly flash results and management accounts. In conjunction with the Finance Manager these are to be analysed and interpreted to the highest standards in order to provide meaningful, relevant and actionable information.

* Preparation of Weekly cash flow forecasts and submission to corporate function, ensuring a robust cash collection and forecasting reporting model is in place.

* Ensure that cost and income collection processes are adhered to in line with company contract management and financial procedures.

* Support the Business Unit by delivering management information that is accurate, timely and reliable.

* Develop and maintain a suite of standard management reports for divisional use and use these as the basis of spreading best practice across the divisions.

* Accounting systems are up to date and fully reflect the performance of the business.

* Assist the Finance Manager in preparation of budgets and business plans.

* Maintain the integrity of the IFS reporting system through reconciliations and

maintenance of project structures.

* Timely production of monthly accounts budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications and requirements:

* Minimum part qualified with at least 2 years of business experience in a similar position.

* Good business/process analysis skills.

* Experience of dealing with senior management.

* Strong excel levels - Pivot tables and V-look ups as a minimum

* Previous experience in engineering or construction industry as an ideal not a necessity
