Our client is seeking for a Network Technical Lead based in Erskine.

Role overview

Network Technical Lead needed to own the strategic direction for all Network infrastructure across accounts.

Experience needed in decomposing complex problems into component parts for network engineering as well as having the ability to provide and contribute in the following areas : Project High Level Requirements; High-level Functional and Logical Architecture; Detailed Designs for all solutions; build, test and implementation activities.

Day to Day Responsibilities

* Drive implementation of Standard based solutions for Accounts

* Provide overall Estimate and plans covering all network technical aspects of projects

* Work with the Network Delivery Manager (NDM) to cost and solution new solutions and/or services

* Work with CTO and HPN to set agenda for innovation and strategic direction

* Engage with vendors to identify best-match products combining compliance, longevity and best-value for fit to scenario

* Be authoritative for all technical aspects of network engineering solutions related to the account

* Own integration of solution components into an integrated system

* Ensure quality compliance from requirements though implementation ensuring operational readiness

* Provide effective technical and business communication to the leadership and to the Project Engineers

* Report technical status of projects on a weekly basis to the Network team

* Review and correct technical project documentation for key projects

* Ensure that all engineers working on the project understand their deliverables

* Own the network technical forum/review group

* Feedback experience/innovation from the team to the Network leadership

Essential Skills

* Extensive (circa 5 years) design skills in network technologies

* Experience of project lifecycle from scoping, to delivery to run state

* Experience of virtualized infrastructure design and deployment

* Technical leadership experience on major projects

* Extensive experience of network infrastructure implementation

* Exposure to architecture and formal methodologies

* Strong communication and team working skills

* Experienced in writing technical proposal, high and low-level designs and implementation documents

* Experience of all major product roles at all levels of the OSI model - from cable/media formats, through dynamic routing engines, to application-based load balancing and proxying

SC Clearance is required for this role however candidates willing to run through the checks may also be considered.
