Product Manager - Telecoms Site Share / Telecoms Infrastructure

To take responsibility and ownership for the management of an agreed Site Share Product set and associated Product P&Ls (~£180m pa).

To be the recognised company expert and authority on the Site Share product set.

To manage, identify, develop and deliver Site Share products, including Site Share Facilities Licensing (FL), Site Share Installation Services (IS), Power reselling, Multi-coupled Systems, and any adjacent site related managed services thereby helping achieve target sales and profit in the markets served by the Telecoms Business Unit.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY DELIVERABLES:

*The scope of the role covers Site Share services for both the Mobile & Fixed Network and Secure Solutions sectors within Telecoms.

*Ownership of the complete Service lifecycle from idea stage, development, launch, roll-out, in-life exploitation, enhance and retire. The Services in the specified portfolio will be at various stages of the lifecycle.

*Own the overall Product Strategy through analysis customer requirements, industry sector, and competitive environment and technology trends to identify near term and long term opportunities.

*Resultant Product Strategy to include Market Size and Addressable Market, Potential volumes, Customers (channels to market) and Segmentation, Competitive Analysis, Investment Requirements, Implementation Plan, Financial Analysis,

*Creation of the Product Roadmap and publication to relevant internal and external stakeholder groups such as sales, operations and customers

*Develop and maintain appropriate market-based Product pricing.

*Develop and communicate an appropriate Business Plan and strategy for the Business Unit to compete successfully for Site Share related and associated Managed Service business in its markets. Develop the objectives for the product set, including budgets and financial targets. Obtain agreement from management and key stakeholders to implement the plan.

*Provide product support to Sales / Account Management in relation to a large and diverse customer base including approximately 5-10 key customers (MNOs, Airwave, BT, C&W etc), and in conjunction with Delivery, Portfolio Management and/or CTO, be responsible for key suppliers / site providers. Provides product support for other relationships managed through Sales and potentially Supply Chain.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES / EXPERIENCE FOR ROLE:

Role specific skills required:

*Previous experience in Product Management and / or Sales.

*Extensive experience and knowledge of Site Share products, portfolios / sites, customers and markets

*Excellent analytical, financial and forecasting skills.

*Strong interpersonal skills inside the business and with Customers

*Excellent presentation skills.

*Very strong influencing skills.

Role, technical or sector experience required:

*In-depth understanding of the UK Site Share market.

*Extensive experience in the Site Share market and management / involvement in core Site Share activities within this sector including site portfolio management, asset management and/or project delivery

*In depth understanding of the operational drivers and procurement processes within this Market.

*Can demonstrate achievement of financial targets through matrix management of Sales Team and Business Operations.
