Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Leicestershire

Sector - Traffic signalling, CCTV, motorway telecoms and signage, highways maintenance, Street Lighting

Remuneration - £25,000 - £30,000 (experience depending)

Location - Leicestershire

Our client, a specialist contractor are looking for x2 Assistant Quantity Surveyors to join their team in Leicestershire.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be supporting the Commercial Manager gaining exposure to the Quantity Surveying role in more detail and developing their career. Typical duties include:

* Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordance with company policy

* Undertake costing activities

* Measure completed works

* Collate and / or produce site records necessary

* Place subcontract orders in accordance with the main contract

* Provide comprehensive financial and surveying related information as required by senior management

* Measure the works for payment and final account purposes

* Preparation and submission of valuations and final accounts

* Record all relevant events for delay and loss and expense claims

* Monitor and ensure that full payment is received for all work claimed and certified

Key Requirements:

· Good communication skills

· The skills to negotiate, influence and persuade

· Organised decision making, problem solving and weighing risks

· Working to a high standard

· Ability to work in a team whilst also being able to self-motivate

· A good understanding of Microsoft Office/Outlook

· Full UK Driving License

· Experience of working in all or some of Traffic signalling, CCTV, motorway telecoms and signage, highways maintenance, Street Lighting schemes.

Remuneration:

· £25,000 - £30,000 + benefits
