The increased focus on the nuclear sector as the future of energy production for the UK has seen a major uplift in the number of new nuclear facilities being commissioned and the number of ageing facilities being decommissioned. The mission of the NDA is the efficient and sustainable clean-up of the UK nuclear legacy, ensuring that we leave a safer environment for future generations. It's unique, complex and fascinating work. Our mission is crucial and you'll help us solve challenges that have never been encountered before.

This is an opportunity to have a significant influence on decommissioning activity, working for the leading organisation in the field. Our remit is wide and diverse and incredibly influencial. You will act as a responsible client, interacting with senior executives and managers, providing a level of challenge and scrutiny to the execution of work within the Lifetime Plan for a number of sites nationally. Reporting to the Lead Programme Manager and providing the NDA executive with timely information and reports, you will deep-dive programmes and project reviews, recommend further assurance activities and incentivisation implications. You will give informed views on SLC provided information, and plan, manage and implement the NDA Assurance Schedule across the NDA estate.

Educated to degree standard, or with a relevant professional qualification, you will have previous practical experience in project and programme management, planning, engineering and cost engineering or estimating. Ideally you will have worked in the nuclear sector, but most importantly, you will understand the technical issues that arise in a regulated environment. With outstanding leadership, communication and motivational skills, you will have engaged with large, complex business environments, government organisations, private industry and professional services.

Join us, and you'll be part of a community of experts, working together to champion high standards, best practice and optimum value for money across some of the biggest projects around. This is a rewarding role with plenty of variety in a fast paced working environment, while still offering a healthy work life balance and excellent benefits.
