Senior Business Analyst / £40 - £55K / Edinburgh

There is a chance for you to join an exciting team and play a key part in delivering a Banking Modelling & Analytics programme which will focus on Loans, all to support the delivery of the banks long term plan.

The primary focus for this role will be on developing the analytical tools to support implementation of measures within this programme.

- Provide accurate, insightful and timely product analysis and review which helps the Commercial team to drive performance and understand variances.

- Produce ad-hoc analysis, model development and data understanding to meet agreed business objectives.

- Produce financial models to support commercial decision making.

- Insure stakeholders are receiving all the support they need to make the right business decisions.

- Influence stakeholders and be part of the decision making process within projects and business wide activities.

- Work within governance processes

- Delivering pricing analysis and performance assessment.

- Assist the forecast and budget process.

Key Skills

- Understanding of use of financial/ statistical models

- Familiar with a range of analytical and statistical techniques

- Understanding of financial modelling solutions

- Experience of SAS/SQL/ Excel and VB

- Ability to manage own workload and drive own development

- Good interpersonal and communication skills

- Present results of analysis

- Relevant degree or equivalent

- Awareness of modelling and analytics role in financial services

- Knowledge of statistical modelling eg, regression and price sensitivity

- Datawarehouse interrogation coding experience.
