An experienced Software Tester is currently required by an established software provider in the Edinburgh area.

They are seeking a mid-tier test engineer to join their talented and creative team, which is growing due to continued company expansion fuelled by exciting new business growth. They are now expanding their current in-house testing resource and looking to increase the usage of the very latest automated testing technologies and best-practice processes

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years' commercial experience coupled with a relevant degree at 2:1 or above.

Experience/Skills Required:

* Test engineering experience in Windows forms, Web and/or mobile app application environments

* Practical knowledge of Agile development test design, methodologies and techniques

* Good knowledge of manual/automated functional, performance and regression testing

* HTML/XML, JavaScript, JQuery and CSS knowledge

* Experience of writing Coded UI tests in C#

* SQL Server experience (Administration and T-SQL)

* Microsoft Systems and Network experience (Desktop and Server OS configuration and administration, distributed systems, load balancing)

We are looking to find someone who will potentially be able to take over the management of the test function, working in conjunction with the QA Manager with exposure to all the latest Microsoft ALM, test suite and Lab tools
