Our client, a globally recognised brand, are currently recruiting for a Business Objects Developer for an initial 1 month contract based in Aberdeen.

Principal Accountabilities:

* Provide technical development expertise to convert business requirements into reporting solutions

* Plan, manage, develop and deploy work into existing production installation

* 3rd Line Support of existing reporting estate

* The role requires some facing off to the business

* Background of requirements gathering is a must.

Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

* Expertise in Business Objects experience in BO 4.1

* Excellent knowledge of SQL

* Ability to debug, analyse and optimise SQL queries.

* Familiarity with ETL concepts and processes

* Demonstrable ability to gather requirements, analyse, question and produce a functional requirements documentation

* Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels in the business

* Self-motivator, able to work alone but also able to understand when to ask for help

Desirable Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

* Experience any of Dashboarding like Excelcius.

* Data warehouse and entity relationship modelling
