A growing business based in Preston is seeking an IT Field Technician to join their busy IT Support Team.

You will be based at the company's address. The nature of your employment requires you to travel to and work at various client sites.

It will be a condition of your employment that:

1) You dress appropriately in smart business attire to give a professional impression to customers and maintain a high standard of personal presentation and tidiness

2) You have a full and valid Driving Licence and that you are insurable on the Company vehicle

3) Employment will be subject to CRB and reference checks.

You must be able to demonstrate the following expertise:

- Windows Server (2008 and 2012 Small Business Server)

- Server virtualisation & Development

- Server ' Build/Installation/Maintenance

- Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 and Windows 8

- Active Directory

- MS Exchange 2010

- Excellent MS Office product knowledge (2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 365)

- MS Remote Desktop Services/Terminal Services

- LAN and WAN and Cloud Technologies

- Domain registrations

- Draytek Routers ' Internet filtering

Experience in the following is also desirable:

- Degree level qualification, preferably within Computer Sciences or equivalent

- Comptia A+ Certification

- Microsoft Certification

- Avaya CS1000 PBX and Nortel IP phones

- VMWARE VSPHERE 4.X

- XenApp 5.5+

- Citrix Environment

- Citrix Access Management Console

- Linux

- MS Access query building

- MySQL

- Printer Installation and Maintenance

Applicants must be confident in their own ability and be able to work as a team or by themselves when required.

The role requires working Monday to Friday (8.00am ' 5.00pm) with evening and weekend on-call support on a 1 in 4 week rotational basis.

The salary for this opportunity is negotiable on experience and includes company vehicle.
