Hedge Fund - SERVICE DESK SUPPORT ANALYST - £200 LONDON

My client, a leading, prestigious, global Hedge Fund / Asset Manager is looking for a Service Desk Support Analyst to join their team for a rolling 12 month contract:

Rate: £200 per day

Location: London

Duration: 12 months

Industry: Finance / Hedge Fund / Asset Management

Purpose of the role:

The role entails the provision of high quality first line technical support and request management services to internal staff. The appointee must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal with high profile executives and senior VIPs in an efficient and professional manner.

Skill / Experience (as many of the following as possible - but note they are NOT all mandatory):

Operating Systems / Admin Systems:

Windows 7, Windows XP, Basic DOS commands, Active Directory experience Advance Active Directory experience (account creation and management), Advanced Windows 7 experience, Windows 8, UNIX.

Applications / Databases:

Excel 2010, Word 2010, Outlook 2010, PowerPoint 2010. MS Access, SharePoint, Lync, EPO, Bloomberg, Factset, Derivation, ThinkFolio, SQL, Oracle

Networking:

An understanding of basic networking technologies, An understanding of Remote Access TCPIP fundamentals, Bluecoat support experience, experience of support Citrix

Remote Access:

An understanding of Remote Access fundamentals; experience of supporting RSA SecurID. CheckPoint VPN, Citrix Xen App, Citrix Access Gateway, ADSL Router/Modem support.

Desktop Hardware:

Intermediate understanding of PC hardware troubleshooting. Basic printer troubleshooting HP and Lenovo laptop configuration.

Smartphone Support:

Previous experience of supporting mobile devices in a corporate environment. Blackberry, iPhone, and Android support experience. Experience of Good for Enterprise and

Good Dynamics.

ITIL:

A basic understanding of the ITIL methodology, ideally having previously worked in an ITIL environment. ITIL V3 Foundation-level qualification
