Our client requires a Senior Automation Tester to be based onsite in Osterley, West London, for an initial 3 month contract, for £420-£450 per day Ltd.

One of the UK's leading pay-TV providers is looking for a Senior Automation Tester with proven experience testing the front-end of media streaming applications on connected TV devices, to join their industry leading software development team that uses cutting edge technology to provide applications that put us first for online content, customer service and sales.
Role outline:
You will join a software development team that uses cutting edge technology to provide applications that put us first for user experience. As an agile evangelist, you will inspire the team to keep quality, performance and customer experience at the forefront of everything that we do.
You will:
1 Test a new OTT service which will deliver Video playback and rich interactivity on a connected device
2 Test JavaScript-based services using manual and automated testing.
Skills desired:
1 Experience testing JavaScript based services
2 Manual and Automated Testing experience
3 Cucumber (BDD)
4 Selenium
5 Either Java or Ruby scripting for test automation
6 Strong Functional Testing experience
7 IPTV, Embedded Video, STB, Video Playback testing experience
8 Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
9 Experience testing applications on TV devices
10 Experience in writing test plans, test scripts and defining test data
11 Testing User Stories as part of an agile methodology, with experience of participating in scrums
12 Comfortable designing test environments and strategies
13 Managing Test environments and test devices
14 JIRA - Defect Management and reporting
15 Experience in technical functional testing of devices such as; Acquisition & Presentation of AV media via IP & OTT, Software Management, Encoding, Content Discovery.
