Software Engineer : Java/Linux - Permanent : Edinburgh : to 30k

Abrecco are recruiting, on behalf of our successful Edinburgh based client, a graduate or junior level Software Engineer with a strong educational background. You will work closely with developers, designers, test and support engineers within a team orientated agile environment gaining experience across the full development lifecycle. Skills for this fantastic opportunity should include but not be limited to:

Essential

- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Physics or Mathematics (Minimum 2.1)

- A passion for technology and eager to gain full lifecycle experience in system and web technologies.

- Some Web Development Experience

- OO Development knowledge (Java, Ruby, PHP etc)

- Excellent communication skills.

Desirable

- Strong Mathematical/Numerical skills

- Familiar with Agile development methodologies

- Linux knowledge

The successful candidate will get the opportunity to be involved in developing, testing and supporting new and existing applications that are used by clients across the globe.
