Head of QA
Our client requires a Head of QA to be based onsite in Osterley, West London, for a 3 month rolling contract, offering flexible day rates.
Location: Osterley, West London
Duration: 3 months initially
Rate: market rates (ca£550 per day)

One of the UK's leading pay-TV providers is looking for a Head of QA with proven experience driving automation and non-functional testing improvement to large programmes, to join their industry leading software development team that uses cutting edge technology to provide applications that put our client first for online content, customer service and sales.
Role outline:
* We are looking for a high-potential technical and hands-on Quality Assurance leader to take a team of Software Test Engineers to the next level to drive quality assurance for key OTT areas.
* As Head of QA you will sit above the "Head of Test"s for the three areas covering a large-scale OTT functionality for a top broadcasting company.
* You will lead a team who are designing, developing, and executing Non Functional and automated tests for the company's next-generation OTT product.
* You will work closely with several leaders, Programme Managers and individual team members to drive software test development efforts as well as to help the company meet its quality objectives.
* You will be responsible for the day to day management of the team, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and work planning including developing automation, test planning, and other QA activities.
Experience desired:
1 Experience in Quality Assurance of large core backend services as well as customer facing products, mainly focused on non-functional testing, resilience & security testing.
2 Agile, TDD and BDD methodologies.
1 Vast experience as a lead engineer, engineering manager or software quality manager
2 Demonstrable history of a passion for quality on Non Functional Testing and Resiliency.
3 Experience in managing software/application testing, such as professional applications, consumer and media apps, web content.
4 Strong knowledge and development experience with large-scale SOA implementation, having had Quality and Performance engineering responsibility for such an organisation.
5 Excellent cross-functional communication and influence skills
6 Proven track record demonstrating the ability to build a team - attracting, hiring, retaining, motivating the best Test Engineers and Developers
7 Proven track record in leading development of automation tools
8 Comfortable with fast-paced, schedule-driven development
9 In-depth software engineering and development lifecycle knowledge
10 Experience managing consumer software products
