Senior IT Security Analyst : CISSP / CEH / GIAC : Permanent : Edinburgh

Abrecco wish to recruit, on behalf of our client, a Senior IT Security Analyst to be based in our client?s Edinburgh office. Working in a small team you will have knowledge of all aspects of ICT Infrastructure with experience in IT Security including; Intrusion Detection / Prevention Systems, Security Compliance, developing security procedures and controls, Policy implementation & management etc. This is a challenging role requiring a good knowledge of current Information Technology Security principles together with the ability to work with people at all levels either independently or as part of a larger project team. As a senior member of the team you will be expected to mentor and lead less experienced members of staff and guide them with recommendations and improvements to current policy and procedures. To be considered you should possess the following;

Essential:

- Extensive experience of working in an operational security role

- Strong technical skills across infrastructure and security

- Expert knowledge of IT Security Principles

- Strong mentoring and leadership skills

Desirable:

- Security Qualification (SSCP, CISSP, GIAC, CEH etc)

- Firewall Administration (Checkpoint, PIX etc)

- Microsoft Accreditation (MCSA, MCSE)

- Scripting experience (Python, Powershell)

- Any Cisco / Redhat certifications
