The successful consultant core accountabilities will include:

-Taking business requirements and translating them into detailed technical and functional designs, following an agile software development methodology.

-Responsible for the sprint planning and delivery process.

-Produce and review development plans. Attend project meetings representing the development team.

-Carrying out peer reviews, coaching and mentoring.

-This is also a hands-on technical role, must be willing to get involved.

Professional/technical experience:

-Expert level Java knowledge

-Relational databases (ideally SQL server) including tuning, data model design.

-XML

-Experienced in leading a small team of developers

-Web services (SOAP and the WS-* stack) are also highly desirable.

-Experience in projects with significant data components
