Payments Investigations Officer - London

My client, a leading financial services company, based in London , are recruiting for a Payments Investigations Officer, to join the Payment Investigations Team of Local Operations, to act as the initial point of contact for incoming enquiries from other Banks. In addition to this, be responsible for assisting in the reconciliation of nostro breaks and to support the efficient delivery of high quality service in accordance with the Banks policies and Procedures.

Daily Responsibilities

Responding quickly and effectively to other banks / clearers and internal departments; account managers' payments enquiries and requests for information

Responding to Bank to Bank queries (predominantly received via SWIFT)

All payment related internal queries (cancellations, missing funds, UTA's, copy SWIFTs, return of funds, re-valuations, etc.)

All return of fund queries

Nostro break resolution

Error investigations and corrections

All intelliTRACS queries

Recording all enquiries and requests, accurately without delay

Investigating and resolving uncomplicated enquiries / requests efficiently within defined timescales and ensuring that the system log is kept up to date in respect of such enquiries / requests

Referring to line management and liaising with Client Support, and all appropriate teams, in respect of recurrent and / or significant service problems

Ensuring that all complaints are passed immediately to line management

Essential Skills

Knowledge of payment services, specifically; SWIFT, BACS, CHAPS

Ability to organise and prioritise workloads

Payments expertise / knowledge

Technical Skills

Systems and processes: - Atlas, StorQM, Word/Excel,IntelliMATCH & IntelliTRACS, SWIFT,Sibes
