Key Responsibilities:

The Security Analyst is responsible for:

Provides security alert detection and analysis capabilities across multiple technologies to ensure that security incidents are identified in a timely manner Provides escalation of potential security incidents in line with appropriate processes Provides support during the response to potential security incidents and subsequent reviews Provides assurance of security posture through monitoring security system status Provides assurance of changes to security systems Analysis of security alerts to identify potential security incidents Support of response to potential security incidents Provision of regular and ad hoc security reports Identification of security system status or security changes that are not within governance Continuous focus on service improvement Shift work is expected and a shift allowance will be paid out for this.

Skills & Experience, Essential:

Must be an experienced security analyst with a record of security monitoring Must have experience of being part of security incident response team Must have experience using Intrusion Detection Systems/Intrusion Protection Systems (IDS/IPS) to monitor and investigate attacks Must have experience using Security Information and Event Management tools (SIEM) to monitor and investigate attacks Skills & Experience, Desirable:

Team orientated, customer & process focused Highly motivated and able to deliver in a pressurised environment Flexible approach to working hours to facilitate business requirements. Experience of financial services would be advantageous Experience of working shift patterns would be advantageous Operational experience in a security environment is beneficial Firewall experience is beneficial Proven ability to identify opportunities to streamline technical and procedural activities Qualifications:
