Agile Automation QA
Our client requires an Agile Automation QA to be based onsite in Osterley, West London, for an initial 5-6 month contract, for £400-£440 per day Ltd.

One of the UK's leading pay-TV providers is looking for a Agile Automation QA with proven experience writing automated test scripts from scratch in 2 of Java, Python or Ruby, and working with BDD tools, to join their industry leading software development team that uses cutting edge technology to provide applications that put our client first for online content, customer service and sales.
Role outline:
You will:
1 Write automation test scripts in 2 of Java, Python or Ruby, and create automation test frameworks from scratch
2 Identify and write acceptance criteria for each user story.
3 Collaborate with developers to:
* perform exploratory testing of user stories as they are being developed
* ensure that completed user stories satisfy all the acceptance criteria
* identify and perform tests for edge case and complex scenarios.
* notify them of defects discovered
* Manage and operate a QA environment including builds and deployment.
* Work as part of the team to support and maintain the live products.
* Work as part of an effective self-organizing, cross-functional and disciplined team to achieve repeatable success. Recognize that team success is more important than individual success
* Work in an Agile, BDD, Scrum environment, using Continuous Integration tools and version control.
Skills:
1 Testing both web services and APIs (for example, REST, SOAP services) using XML, JSON.
2 Expert in writing automation test scripts, and experience in creating automation test frameworks from scratch
3 Writing automated tests against online services and APIs using 2 of Java, Python or Ruby programming languages.
4 Experience in Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) tools such as Freshen, Cucumber, Capybara and JBehave.
5 Experience in non-functional performance/security testing with JMeter or LoadRunner will be added advantage
6 Experience in Scrum, Extreme Programming, Kanban or another Agile approach.
7 Expert in writing SQL queries
8 Experience testing large integrated systems with a high degree of functional complexity.
