We are currently recruiting for the role of a Site Quantity Surveyor for an industry leading company within the Pharmaceutical industry. The position is based near Glasgow, Scotland. The position is for roughly 6 months and pay is negotiable dependant on experience.

The post offers excellent opportunities for a wide range of experience at the front line of client and customer service delivery. Within the role, the successful applicant will be involved in working on various types of contracts with contractors and service providers on behalf of our clients. This is a key position, managing a challenging and complex workload and offers excellent opportunities to develop and progress.

Core Functions

- Review, understand and implement contract control mechanisms including programme

management where appropriate

- Manage commercial risks associated with contracts and implement suitable control measures

- Provide management information associated with contract delivery including support and advice to

Project Manager/Director to ensure appropriate management of risk and opportunity

- Ensure commercial control of sub-contractors and suppliers

- Close liaison with the Project Team (Design, Engineering, Procurement & Construction) to ensure

service delivery exceeds contract thresholds

- Review applications for payment and management of payments for Sub-Contractors/Suppliers

- Preparation & agreement of variations

- Financial reporting

- Management of customer interactions, ensuring positive and timely outcomes.

Skills/Experience

- Applicants must hold a Quantity Surveying related degree and have subsequently achieved

Chartered Surveyor status.

- Experience of working within or knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry is preferred

- Excellent IT skills are essential.

- Applicants must be able to demonstrate a flexible, accurate and methodical approach to work.

- Applicants should have experience of working with IChemE, NEC and JCT forms of contract and

of fund/project monitoring.

- Applicants must be self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative with minimum

supervision and contribute positively to the existing team.
