A Senior Technical Business / Systems Analyst is required for 6 months (likely to be extended) based in Kingston Upon Thames.
We are looking for an individual with proven experience of identifying technical and business solutions in collaboration with a working group. They will have an ability to weigh the options to identify the right solution with respect to time, cost and resource availability.
This position is offered as a 6-month contract in the first instance to work closely with the Care Act programme, documenting business requirements and mapping these to technical solutions available from the market place.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and experience:
- Extensive experience of working in Social Care environments
- Experience of defining business requirements, identifying options for potential solutions and assessing these options for both technical and business suitability
- Knowledge of the Care Act legislation and its impact on Social Care operating models
- Knowledge of the Liquidlogic IAS product or similar
- Knowledge and good understanding of system logic
- Experience of overseeing the implementation of a new system including data migration
- Experience of liaising with software suppliers on the development of system enhancements
- Experience and knowledge of operating ITIL, PRINCE2 or similar ICT / service management disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills - both oral and written - with an ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Ability to produce solution feasibility and costings report
- Ability to map and document interfaces between systems
- Ability to influence senior colleagues and decision makers towards an appropriate course of action
- Ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines
- Ability to solve problems and explain underlying issues to non-technical colleagues
- Ability to create, supervise, document and interpret testing schedules for complex suites of applications
- Ability to identify gaps in control and provide solutions to bridge those gaps
-Ability to work with stakeholders to provide detailed change / release plans
Key areas of focus for this role will be:
- Support the ICT Project Manager in delivering ICT solutions capable of meeting the requirements mandated by the Care Act.
- Align technical solutions to the business process changes being defined as part of the wider Care Act programme. To succeed in this the right candidate will need to quickly evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Identify any gaps in functionality being delivered by current line of business systems and identify technical solutions to adequately fill these.
- Ensure a successful transition from Project to Business as Usual.
The successful candidate will report to the ICT Care Act Project Manager and will work very closely with colleagues involved in the wider Care Act programme. In addition, you will work closely with colleagues throughout the shared ICT team, and within various service areas throughout the Adult Social Care service.
Up to £252.37 PAYE per day / Up to £319 LTD per day
