My client based in the South of Edinburgh is currently looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join them on an initial three month contract.

This is a good opportunity for an experienced Support Engineer to work with a well established business on an interesting project, which has a fairly high change of extension.

The right candidate will be experienced in the following:

* Strong network build experience

* Experience of managing VPN's, firewalls and network security, managing a helpdesk and prioritising end user requirements, and disaster recovery process

* Experience of customised PC and server builds and of thin client servers and devices

* Supplier management experience

* Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and MSCE qualification or equivalent

* Experience/knowledge Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012 and experience/knowledge of Mac OSX

* Good experience of VMware 45 and domain migration project management experience would be idealKnowledge and direct experience of managing, configuring and supporting multi-vlan switches across multiple sites

* User migration experience of devices and ip scopes from one domain to another

* Experience of mail migration Exchange 20032007 to Exchange 2010 and configuring and managing sub domains in remote sites and mail clusters

* Knowledge and direct experience of managing, configuring and supporting VMware

This role will involve occasional travel, so it is ideal if you have a valid UK driving licence.
