Network Analyst - Milton Keynes - £35-40k + Benefits
I am currently partnering a large global organisation that is looking to bring on a Network Analyst to lead a sizable hardware upgrade project and manage the daily support of the comms environments.
Reporting to the IT infrastructure manager this is a hands on technical roll with administrator responsibility for the companies networks, services and supporting components.
The role incorporates planning & design, supplier liaison, implementation duties, support of existing and future network installations, including the company existing LAN/WAN environments, telephony and security infrastructure.
Primary responsibilities:
* Daily operation and configuration of company network assets.
* Planning and design of comms infrastructure.
* Configuration of company security assets.
* Supporting customer data connectivity.
* Telephony system support and configuration.
* Manage and interface with 3rd party suppliers and support providers.
* Develop and implement company comms strategy ongoing.
Technical skills:
* Networking (Cisco and HP Pro-curve advantageous) knowledge.
* TPC/IP, routing and management.
* Router configuration
* Firewalls and content filters.
* Demonstrable security best practice knowledge.
* Telephony, VOIP, telecoms.
* Knowledge of Linux and AD configuration beneficial.
* Capable of documenting and managing to accredited ISO standards.
Personal attributes:
* Excellent communication skills - capable of liaising with senior management, other group companies and customers where appropriate.
* Quick to learn and adapt
* Flexible, able to support out of hours upgrades etc and be on call as required.
* Personable with good fit into established close-knit IT team.
* Pro-active, keen, and up to date with IT industry and its trends/developments.
