Java Developer / Java Programmer (UNIX Linux C++ Spring Shell Perl Multi-threading Messaging Java). Tier 1 Investment Bank is seeking a skilled server-side Java Developer to design and develop Greenfield trading applications and enhancements for existing multi-threaded Java systems. These high throughput, critical solutions are distributed across a large Linux plant and support almost all businesses and markets that the company operates in across the world including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX and Prime Brokerage.

As a Java Developer, you will join a talented team working with the latest suite of Java based tools and technologies to devise and implement innovative solutions to complex business problems. Based in Canary Wharf this is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will work across a broad range of projects, interacting with all levels of management and users in this global company.

Requirements:

                                         Strong server-side Core Java skills

                                         Understanding UNIX / Linux

                                         Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

                                         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

                                         Desirable: C++, relational databases, multi-threading, Spring, design patterns and / or messaging including FIX and XML
