Support Analyst- Financial Services- 30-35k

A leading Financial Services Asset Management firm has an exciting requirement for a Support Analyst role based in Edinburgh. This role would be an excellent "foot in the door" for someone bright and ambitious to take the next step in their career.

They are looking for a graduate with a minimum of 2 years solid support experience within the disciplines of the spec below.

Ideally they would like to see enthusiastic, self-motivated people who can bring new ideas and have some ambition …..i.e. who see this role as a stepping stone/foot in the door at a financial services company with a view to moving up to a 3rd line role eventually.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

* IT support experience at 2nd line or above in 4 or more of the following areas:

* Host Operating Systems (e.g. VMware ESX, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Solaris, AIX)

* Systems monitoring & scheduling Tools (e.g. Solarwinds, HP SIM, BMC Control-M)

* Database support (e.g. MS SQL)

* Anti-virus management and control

* Operating system patch management

* Software release management and control

* Backup management and control (Veritas NetBackup)

* Hardware break/fix

* Print server management and controlShould be technically and business aware. Industry related qualifications would be advantageous.

* Commitment to the delivery of a first class service.
