Information Security Officer : ISO27001 / SOX - Permanent : Edinburgh

Abrecco wish to recruit an Information Security Officer on behalf of our Edinburgh based client. The successful candidate will take ownership of Information Security across the organisation, therefore it is vital that you build strong relationships with a network of peers within the group IS structure to ensure compliance with ISO27001 and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). You will be responsible for a number of policies and procedures that ensure compliance with current and future regulatory obligations, and will define and manage the framework under which these controls are monitored. As this is a senior role that bridges a number of business areas including Technology / Risk / Compliance / Audit, you will have strong experience in Risk Management, Project Management, Change Management, and Relationship Management. To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Essential:

- Educated to degree or post-graduate level

- Extensive background in Information Security

- Experience with ISO27001 and Sarbanes Oxley

- Previous experience of security architecture design

- Relevant Information Security / Data Protection qualifications (ISO27001, ISEB Practitioner in IRM, GIAC)

- Experience of Information Security within the financial services arena, ideally asset / investment management

- Understanding of Information Security concepts, practises, and standards

- Experience in project management techniques

- Strong communication skills

Desirable:

- Degree or post-graduate qualification in Information Security

- Experience with Business Continuity / Data Projection

- Exposure to Enterprise architecture / Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
