Graduate Developer : PHP / Java : Fixed Term Contract - Aberdeen - up to 26K

Abrecco are recruiting a Graduate / Junior Developer on behalf of our client based in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will have graduated from a relevant Computing or Engineering subject and will join an established development team to assist with development on a wide range of projects. Our client is keen to consider graduates with any level of programming experience; the main languages they develop in are PHP and Java. This is a fantastic entry level role for a gradate looking for their first step on the career ladder. To be considered your background should demonstrate the following experience:

Essential:

- Degree educated in Computing Science or similar IT / Engineering subject

- Good understanding of PHP or Java (through University or commercial experience)

- Keen to learn new technologies

Desirable

- Commercial development experience in PHP or Java

- HTML / CSS / Javascript

- RDBMS skills (MySQL or Oracle or SQL Server)

- Version control / SCM experience

- Experience of Adobe suite (Photoshop / Flash etc)

- XML / Web Service design

- Any VLE such as Blackboard Learn or Moodle
