Progressive GE are currently recruiting a Project Manager to work a permanent role in Aberdeen. My client is a specialist integrated safety engineering service company to the oil and gas industry.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of projects within the business stream providing primarily mechanical engineered equipment and services, complemented by electrical (fire and gas) and instrumentation.

As a service company the role will very much be costumer service focused.

The role is in house however work off shore will be required, my client is prepared to cover the training for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who can be responsible for:

*Managing nominated projects proactively to meet revenue and margin targets. These will primarily involve water deluge, water fog, fire suppression, foam/ firewater systems, fire and gas and a modest amount of instrumentation or fire detection systems.

* Collation of project plan, bill of materials, purchasing, expediting and verification of materials and preparation for shipment to site by stores

* Supporting quality assurance and inspection as required in projects

* Assisting with collation and production of drawings and documentation

* Supporting BSM Offshore in the preparation of bids, tenders and support documentation relating to commercial opportunities in the market or administrative support for existing projects.

* Liaison with staff, suppliers and subcontractors when employed in offshore or site engineering jobs managed by the business stream, including logistics, equipment and mobilisation.

* Visiting offshore (or other) site to actively assist in the installation and commissioning of projects.

* Visiting offshore (or other) sites to undertake survey work and collate information required and produce or interpret supporting drawings (directly or by others)
