You should have a proven track record of delivering infrastructure designs on single platforms or technologies, with the ability to identify projects that pose risks to service, implementation and support.

The Infrastructure Solution Manager provides a single interface within Service Delivery for significant IT Projects to assure fitness for Service, Implementation and Support. This will involve co-ordination and consultancy for Projects for a single business area, which will change or extend existing infrastructure.

Through your stakeholder & influencing skills you should be able to demonstrate 360 degree communication ranging from senior executive stakeholders to implementation teams, and have experience in leading a virtual team from study phase onwards.

To qualify, you'll need experience of managing projects, working with third party suppliers and managing stakeholders, backed up by an APM or similar methodology. You should be comfortable in presentation & negotiation. Strong in creating and leading virtual teams from the Service Delivery supply lines to support the study phases of significant projects. Within this you should have a proven record in providing resource profiles and forecasts for significant projects.

We are looking for people who can demonstrate experience & knowledge in the following IT platforms:

- Mainframe, Mid-range (Unix) and Distributed (Windows)

- Hardware (Servers, storage etc.)

- Middleware (File Transfer Message Transfer etc.)

Infrastructure interfaces and protocols (Data Networks, Firewalls etc.)

In relation to budget portfolio size we are looking for candidates that have experience of significant portfolio value (£5 million plus) or equivalent.

It would be desirable if you have good awareness of IT Architectural processes, Infrastructure and/or Application change in a large financial services environment and understand the current trends within the IT industry.

Prince II or APM equivalent required.
