Category Manager ( Procurement - Telco - Telecoms )A market leading company in West Bromwich are currently seeking an experienced Category Manager (Telco - Telecoms) to join their expanding procurement team. In return for your services you will have the chance to work for an thriving organisation with an annual spend of around 50 million. The opportunity will provide candidate with the ideal chance to make their mark in this newly created team.
Working with the Head of Vendor Management (IT) to develop a detailed Category Framework/Strategy for the Telecoms Category and then implementing it.
Determining the current situation and desired state for Telecoms Category Management, agreeing appropriate goals based on the IT Procurement, IT and Business strategies. Developing a Project Charter to deliver these goals, identifying stakeholders and communicating appropriately.
Skills and qualifications will ideally include;
Experience in a Telecoms Sourcing / Telecoms Category Management role
Degree educated or equivalent
CIPS qualified
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop internal customer and external supplier relationships
Detail oriented
