One of the UKs leading pay/TV providers is looking for a BI Analyst with proven experience of Business Intelligence practice and principles to join their industry leading BI team that uses cutting edge technology to provide applications that put our client first for online content, customer service and sales. You will play a key role in understanding the business issues and data challenges; then developing requirements, specifications and recommendations.

Role:

* Owning the End/to/End Requirements Management Process for the project requirements throughout the project life/cycle.

* Supporting formal change management processes, in conjunction with the Portfolio Manager.

* Defining, developing and validating process improvements leading to the 'to/be' processes and business requirements.

* Capturing and managing functional and non/functional system requirements.

* Carrying out Impact Assessment from current to future state and contribute to estimates for the cost of the proposed changes.

* Help drive key data architecture and solution data modelling decisions.

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

* In depth understanding of Business Intelligence best practice and principles

* Experience of data integration projects on a large scale environment(s).

* A proactive and positive approach to the role. The role requires the individual to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.

* Proven experience of analysis skills in the context of complex BI systems and prioritising business requirements against benefit

* Excellent requirement gathering using various methods and styles coupled with a strong technical awareness to be able to communicate to both technical and non/technical parties.

* Excellent SQL skills ,writing free hand SQL.

* Experience working with Netezza databases

* Experience with Ab/Initio OR Informatica

* Proven knowledge and experience in Dimensional Modelling.

* A proven ability to influence design decisions in a fast moving commercial environment

* Demonstrates excellent people skills

* Demonstrates exceptional communication, interpersonal.

* Ability to juggle the (often conflicting) demands of multiple projects and work packages
