With over 30 years of experience manufacturing 3d metrology equipment, my client has developed a very powerful brand and a strong physical presence across Europe, Asia and the US. In order to enhance their customer support offering, they're now looking to appoint a dedicated Technical Trainer who can deliver post sales training and support on their range of measurement systems.

It could be a really nice 'change of pace' for an applications engineer who's used to dealing with pre-sales support, or a service engineer who wants to place more of an emphasis on teaching customers about the operational elements of the kit, rather than just troubleshooting and maintaining it.

The successful candidate will need:

- A technical qualification (mechanical/ electronics engineering or similar)

- Experience working with metrology systems (in applications, product marketing, service etc)

- A proactive approach (consistently suggesting changes/improvements to training procedures)

- The willingness to travel to customer site

The following would also be preferable:

- Experience dealing with automotive and/or aerospace customers

- A proven track record delivering training and shaping programmes

This role will be home based, ideally from Scotland but other locations in the north of England will be considered, and it will require onsite as well as remote support. This company are growing extremely well and investing heavily in their technology to ensure it's always pushing the boundaries on what's technically possible.

Home based technical trainer required for a metrology equipment OEM, ideally deriving from an applications or service background, who would be capable of training automotive and aerospace customers in Scotland and the north of England.
