My central Edinburgh based client are currently recruiting for a number of Junior Application Support Analyst to join their business on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate for this role will be expected to provide excellent customer support for the company's suite of applications that run on a variety of operating systems. You will be tasked with investigating, diagnosing and resolving issues involving SQL server and Oracle databases as well progress and resolving installation, configuration and performance issues with JBoss application servers.

Along with an exceptional training programme there is an expected Commitment and ability to continuously self-improve and develop through participation in internal training programmes, self-study training, and online-training courses.

Relevant skills for the role will include;

* Demonstrable experience in the provision of customer service (not necessarily IT)

* Two+ years experience of installing and /or maintaining Windows XP, Windows 7 and 8

* Two+ years experience of configuring and maintaining a mainstream database product such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or MySQL

* Ability to create and amend SQL- queries and updates

* Candidates must be fluent in German
