Health Management (a MAXIMUS Company) offers expert medical advice, dynamic health-promotion campaigns and on-site clinical support to a wide range of employers nationwide. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Programme Manager to join us in a pivotal role within Fit for Work; a new, national, large scale health advice service which is being introduced to help support people returning to work following sickness absence.
Reporting to the Programme Director, the successful candidate will be required to manage multiple tasks and resources and coordinate work streams to deliver the successful implementation of the contract through to steady state. The role will be London based, with regular travel (2-3 days per week) to Sheffield where the service is head quartered.
Key responsibilities will include:
Working closely with government departments to ensure contractual requirements are achieved
Developing, planning and ultimately delivering the project through documented stages and milestones
Establishing and managing project schedules, governing external vendors and technical resources (where applicable)
Ensuring quality of projects by utilisation of proven project methodology
Developing strong and cooperative relationships with key project sponsors, team members, operational staff and service users
Offering appropriate support, advice and guidance to support training and deployment
Managing multiple projects (if required) and other Programme Management Office activities
The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:
Proven track record of managing public sector projects and implementations
Able to challenge, guide and coach others
Experience of working in a task driven and results focused environment
Competent IT user - Office applications and databases
Excellent communication skills across all levels
Strong leadership and conflict management skills
Strong decision making and issue resolution skills
Experience in leading teams of similar size and skills
Project management qualifications or credentials eg PRINCE2 are desirable but not essential.
You may have experience in the following roles: Project Director, Programme Lead, Project Manager.
