The Single Operating Platform Finance Project Manager will be responsible for the completion of the finance design for the migration from Oracle R11 to a single Oracle R12 platform gathering. Following this phase the Manager will take the lead in driving the project through to implementation in late 2015/early 2016.
Key tasks and responsibilities
The successful candidate will have proven financial implementation experience having managed complex financial projects and a diverse range of stakeholders while achieving a successful delivery track record.Demonstrable experience of the following activities required:Planning and managing finance projects from conception to point of closureDeveloping and managing a project plan, to support the activity, resources and interdependenciesIdentifying and resolving issues and managing project risks, including the development of contingency plansTaking the lead in managing relationships including internal and external team members, stakeholders and sponsors/project boardReporting progress and directing communications for the projectEnsuring that the right people, with the right skills, are secured for the right roles within the projectManaging the production of the required deliverablesPlanning the project’s assurance activities including Gateway/TM reviews and ensuring that assurance prompts are followedDeveloping the forward look for the project setting out where it is on the policy cycle and when it will hit approvals decision points and so may need to put a Business Case to the relevant Approvals PanelLiaising with programme team and related projects to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicatedWorking within a governance framework to review design decisions, design objections, design changesConducting end project evaluation to assess how well the project was managed and preparing a project closure report
Key Skills
Oracle system implementation.Delivery focused.Strong interpersonal communications & stakeholder management skills.Monitoring and controlling delivery against Microsoft Project.Previous experience of working with shared services and technical implementation 3rd party providers
