My South Edinburgh client is seeking a strong Front-End Developer with an open mind, focussed on creative, simple and robust software development.

My client is a technology company - combining creativity and innovation with technical know-how to create positive change for IT enterprises - with some of the world's best known companies as clients.

They are seeking a number of experienced Front End Developers to work on the development and enhancement of the existing product.

We are looking for a talented Developer or Senior Developer with a solid understanding of how to apply pragmatic software engineering practises to the production of high quality and robust applications. Also an individual who is capable of taking account of new information or changed circumstances in a fast moving project environment and acting accordingly.

Responsibilities include:

* End to end involvement on software & web development from customer Requirements Capture and Functional Specification through to Testing, Release and Support.

* Technical innovation, including hardware and software solutions, new products and tools.

* Identifying and researching solutions for customer requirements, and communicating clearly with the team and customers regarding the proposed solution.

* Scoping, estimating, design, build, test and implementation and maintenance of Front End applications.

Essential skills which are critical to the role:

* Over 3 years hands on development experience with ASP.net and MVC projects

* Solid front end development experience

* HTML, CSS, Javascript

* Version control experience

* Experience of working in a software or web development company

Desirable (but not essential) skills and experience:

* XML / XSLT

* SQL Server 2008 or above

* Objective-C iPad/iPhone App development

* Development of Mobile applications
