FMEA / PLM Engineer / Trainer (Dyson)

There is now an exciting opportunity for a mechanical engineer with knowledge of CAD, Siemens NX and/or PLM, to work as a Trainer in Dyson’s world leading Research, Design & Development Centre based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. Previous experience of delivering training would be beneficial but is not essential. The ideal candidate will have previous design experience and will be able to provide real world examples of failure that can be used to gain buy in.
As an FMEA / PLM Engineer / Trainer, your work will cover the following areas:
- Delivering engaging FMEA training to RDD staff
- Delivering training as required on Siemens NX, CAD and Teamcenter PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
- Advanced CAD training
- Developing and implementing a drawing standards training course
- Implementing a robust design training course and updating content to reflect the company’s current manufacturing and working standards
- Working with Heads of Department to identify training opportunities for Engineers through common mistakes
- Proactively working within RDD to identify and address skills gaps
- Working within this international function to ensure global consistency in training and working methods
To be considered for the role of FMEA / PLM Engineer / Trainer, you must have:
- Industry experience in an engineering or design role
- Knowledge CAD, Siemens NX and/or PLM
- A confident, clear and engaging presentation style
- The drive to take new functionalities and standards and champion their use
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
A degree in engineering or design would also be advantageous.
