Web Support Specialist - Middleware
A global leader and technology pioneer based in the city centre of Glasgow is currently seeking to appoint an experienced Web Support Specialist within Middleware to join the organisation within a brand new permanent role.
The web support specialist will be part of the team responsible for web hosting environments in various locations globally which means part of the role is reactive to problems and the rest is proactive in maintaining software and service improvement.
There will be an emphasis on E-Commerce in the role and a good understanding of Web/MQ technologies is essential for this role.
In the web Support role the following skills are required:
· Web Hosting (DMZs)
· Unix/ Windows System Administration
· Network Products & Protocols (TCP/IP, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Intrusion Detection, DNS)
· Application Servers (WebSphere/ Tomcat / WebLogic)
· Java, JSP and other web standards
· Web Servers (IIS, IHS)
· Messaging (IBM) and integration experience (WMB, DataPower) is preferred
· Experience working with WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere MQ
