Our client is looking for an experienced Apps/Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team in Derby on an initial 3 month contract.

The Ideal candidate will hold valid SC Clearance, or be willing to go through the process

Apps/Infrastructure project manager

Required Skills :

R-R account is looking for strong Project Managers to lead each of the integrator project within the Engineering Improvements Programme. The successful candidates will be;

1 Strong client facing PM's and take accountability for the following

1 Accountable for delivery of the project IT outcome across multiple suppliers into R-R and across HP

2 Improving client perception of HP project delivery

3 Managing supplier directly/indirectly to ensure delivery and protect HP commercial interests

2 Need the following attributes

1 Senior client facing management skills - trusted advisor, strong enough to provide advice and guidance where required to R-R and 3rd party suppliers

2 Commercially savvy - manage supplier and R-R, change control

3 Energetic, positive style - showcasing what the wider HP can bring - able to network and bring wider HP to bear

4 Brings pace, professionally robust and innovative approach.

Broad knoweldge of technologies and their intergration.

Familiarity with PRINCE2. PMP

Desire to introduce process improvement activities.

Detailed description:

Plans, directs, and co-ordinates a cross-functional team's activities to manage and implement project and/or interrelated work packages from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage.

Determines, monitors, and reviews all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, sub-contractors, resources, and risk.

Identifies and assembles the appropriate blend of resources to meet project needs and requirements, including sub-contractor selection.

Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the project/program.

Leads the project team(s) in determining client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans.

Ensures adherence to legally binding requirements and client's long-term goals.

Facilitates status review meetings among project team members and clients.

Works with programme manager,and senior management on project/program proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules.

Proposes and develops add-on project opportunities.

Controls project requirements, scope, and change management issues.

Coaches and counsels members of cross-functional teams to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues.

Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria.

Determines and installs appropriate automated and mandated systems and processes for management of projects.

Facilitates the creation of communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders.

Identifies and recommends contingency measures.

Maintains awareness of emerging technologies and project/programme management techniques.

Proposes and takes ownership for project improvement for the programme.

Manages relationships with 3rd parties
