Teradata Data Analyst immediate hire financial services Glasgow

Teradata data Analyst is required by one of my financial services clients based over in Glasgow. This financial services client of mine has a growing demand to bring on a Teradata data analyst to work within their new development and implementation of data MI reporting where by you will be working closely with stakeholders to understand the business requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teradata data Analyst with a strong understanding of Teradata SQL and rules governing relational databases to work for a growing team this year based in Glasgow. As the Teradata SQL Data Analyst you will be required to work closely with the business to undertake investigations, business analysis, and make recommendations for the new MI reporting.

You will also be able to produce new SQL scripts and enhance exisiting scripts to support all existing processes and systems.

My clients IT Team is structured to provide efficient solutions for the business and their flow of data, therefore a previous background of investment banking would be highly beneficial; however is not a mandatory requirement. This team will require you to work closely with the business and stakeholders so you will be working as a part of a larger team but be able to demonstrate the competencies it takes to work on your own.

This is a contract position with the current market rates at £200pd This is a 6 month rolling contract and the work is abased on a multi year project.

Essential skills:

- Strong Teradata SQL data analysis experience on Unix and advanced knowledge of Unix

- A background within reporting would be highly beneficial for this team especially within MI reporting in banks.

- Experience within investment banking is highly desirable.

- Proven knowledge of rules governing relational databases.

- Degree within Computer science or other related fields.

- Investment banking or an Insurance background is not a Mandatory requirement for this position however it would be highly desirable within this area.
