IT Project Manager required for a well-established Company based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new position available for an IT Project Manager that has experience either in IT Outsourcing, Desktop Deployment, Service Transition, Technical Project Implementations covering Networks or Active Directory.
Working as the IT Project Manager you will ideally have experience running multiple projects within a matrix-managed team through the full lifecycle.
As the IT Project Manager you will have full management responsibility of budgets, resources, project plans, stakeholder management, as well as ensuring the team is fully motivated and focussed on achieving their goals.

DUTIES
Manage Project Delivery:
Provide all project planning, scope and sign-off documentation as per ISO standards
Establish and manage all internal and external resources
Budgetary responsibilities to ensure all deliverables are delivered to time and within budget
Chair project review meetings with the customer
Manage all changes to project plans, escalating any issues
Identify and maximise any additional project revenues from out of scope activities
Control any staged payments/invoicing throughout the project lifecycle
Provide project status and business reports:
Issue regular project highlight reports to show project progress versus plan
Issue detailed financial analysis reports to show project costs versus plan
Maintain a comprehensive project file for each project
Be a key resource for Project pre-sales and initiation activities:
Input into the bid and sales proposal processes
Provide clear definitions for project scope and deliverables
Provide project pricing
Attend customer meetings/presentations as part of the sales campaign team
Provide risk assessment for senior management review
Development of personal and company standards:
Work with functionally manager to develop standards in line with experiences and/or industry best practices
Continually develop individual knowledge and skills in the art of project management
Attend relevant industry seminars, forums, course to develop personal skills
Progress towards professional accreditation
IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
Strong influencing and negotiations are a must along with experience of delivering complex projects in a matrix-managed team
International experience in delivering projects across multiple countries
Have experience of Prince2 or be a registered Prince2 Practitioner, alternatively similar experience with PMI
You should have experience in managing both large scale and small scale projects and be able to manage third party relationships
Hands on management of multiple project running simultaneously 5+
Expert in the principles, methods and techniques for the effective set-up and delivery of technical projects
Must have previous experience and competence in large Technical and non-technical projects and programmes, including full budgetary and policy implementation authority
Experience of:
o IT outsourcing
o Desktop Deployment
o Service Transition
o Technical Projects Implementations (Networks, AD)
Visionary and dynamic in motivating and leading others towards the achievement of goals and objectives
Managed large teams of 10 + Project resource
Delegating tasks, responsibilities and authorities effectively
Desirable
Being proactive, taking action and anticipating outcomes
Retaining objectivity and proper understanding of a problem or situation when placed under conditions of stress
Experienced in effective problem solving techniques with ability to resolve individually or through facilitating a team of appropriate experts
Influencing and persuading others to take a specific course of action when there is no direct line of command or control
Highly effective written and oral communicator to all levels within an organisation. Ability to tailor approach to audience requirements
Proficient in the use of automated tools to assist in the project management process by automating mechanical tasks such as scheduling, resource balancing and time recording, e.g. Microsoft Project
Understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions
Keeping overall objectives and strategies in mind, and not being deflected from these when dealing with matters of detail
