Control Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a Control, Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer for our leading client in the engineering and marine sector. This is a permanent role based in Edinburgh with a salary circa £30000 - £35000 based on experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Review, check and approve drawings, documents and schedules for items such as motors, pressure/temperature/level instrumentation, gauge boards, junction boxes, control panels, starter panels, rotating machinery packages, cable schedules, power/utilities, instrument and control panel diagrams, power/control/instrumentation schematics and wiring diagrams.

- Prepare and develop design of PLC programming and HMI screens for the plant monitoring systems

- Liaise with suppliers, third parties, other departments regarding systems and equipment

- Evaluate quotations for commercial benefit and integrity

- Visit client sites suppliers etc for commissioning/testing/FAT and technical discussions

The ideal candidate for the CI&E Engineer position will have

- HND or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline

- Some previous experience in the layout of E&I control panels

- Experience witnessing and managing FAT or Commissioning of systems

The CI&E Engineer role would suit the skills of an instrument technician or design engineer from a process or petrochemical background.
