Service Delivery Manager

A division of a major Global organisation are looking for an experienced Service Delivery Manager to be based in Glasgow on a permanent basis. This organisation works with a range of customers across the UK and this particular role will focus on those in the Transport Sector.

This role will suit someone who has a natural talent in relationship management, working with technical application teams and stakeholders, maintaining an advisory/consultancy approach of service delivery achieving customer expectations at all costs.

As an experienced Delivery Manager you will have an ability to carry out the following:

* Accountable for Design, Implementation and Operational Service Delivery in line with contracted service:

- Bespoke and Package Software Development and Application Support

- Change Management and Configuration Management

- Event, Availability and Capacity Management

- Change and Release Management

- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

- Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management and Continual Service Improvement (CSI)

* Deliver against agreed Service Portfolio to ensure quality and consistency of service

* Manage Operational costs and maintain financial controls ensuring service contract profitability

* Provision of monthly service performance reports, analytics, customer service reviews in line with agreed Service Management governance model

* Reviewing performance evidence on service delivery, process and procedures to promote a policy of Continual Service Improvement in line with ITIL Lifecycle Management principles

* Motivate, develop and manages internal and external staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery whilst maintaining and developing sound customer relationships

* Resource management to ensure consistent delivery capability and assist in definition of appropriate technologies required to deliver service and ensure efficiency and effectiveness

In order to be considered for this opportunity it’s essential you have the following background:

* ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate as a minimum

* Relevant experience in an Application Service Delivery role

* Team Management of Application Support teams

* Experience of design and implementation of new and developed services - ITIL lifecycle management

* Experience of establishing and developing strong ICT client partnerships and relationships - ideally in an outsourcing capacity

* Experience with - or exposure to - the ITSM internal and external quality audit process and compliance, ideally IEC/ISO20000

* Experience of management and control of operational service budgets

* Sound supplier and vendor management skills for 3rd Parties service delivery providers

* Excellent communication skills - technical and non-technical

* Technical knowledge within SQL/Oracle Databases, MS SharePoint would be advantageous
