Linux Web Middleware Engineer / Linux DevOps (UNIX JMS Messaging Web Puppet Java). Global leading financial derivatives trading firm is seeking a skilled Linux Web Middleware Engineer to join a small team. You will build and support a complex and highly transactional web-based trading platform, and related technologies, including messaging platforms such as JMS.
As a Linux Web Middleware Engineer, you will work with broad range of Web and Middleware infrastructure and services, troubleshooting challenging issues and proactively planning for future capacity. You will work closely with the infrastructure and development teams to ensure optimal performance, automating wherever possible. Requirements:
Considerable experience of working in a UNIX / Linux production environment
Good understanding of JMS Messaging technologies, such as IBM MQ, Fiorano MQ, ActiveMQ, Redhat MRG
Knowledge of Web technologies, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), load-balancers and Apache
Experience of Software installation and configuration management with Puppet and / or MCollective
Passionate and self-motivated, constantly seeking to stay abreast of new and emerging technologies, pro-active about seeking new innovations and process improvements
Meticulous attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
