Job Description:

Project Engineer, Senior and Principal - FTSE 100 Company - Salary: £35-55k - The Project Engineer will be required to ensure all Telecoms engineering activities in connection with the physical implementation of project work are co-ordinated and technically compliant to Group and Company Standards. The Project Engineer will be responsible for identifying any changes to scope and initiate change requests and to act as the main engineering point of contact when required. You will also be required to work as an integral part of the project team.

Role and responsibilities include:

* Act as a Telecoms Project Engineer on allocated schemes.

* Act as a Telecoms CRE on allocated schemes of work as required.

* Act as CEM on Telecoms schemes as required.

* Liaise with team members, clients and sub contractors in order to resolve any technical issues.

* Management of Sub Contractors.

* Liaise with Project Manager/Client to ascertain project requirements and understand project remit.

* Work closely with Project Manager to ensure all cost targets are met.

* Ensure that changes to scope and specifications are managed and that risk registers are robustly reviewed.

* Provide engineering support to the preparation of target costs.

* Ensure successful and safe delivery of project remit.

* Provide engineering support/input in preparation of project program.

* Monitor progress against the project program and taking necessary action when required.

* Preparation of Work Package Plans, Task Briefings and Risk Assessments.

* Undertake site surveys.

* Input of information and periodic reporting.

* Liaise with Principle Project Engineer (Telecoms) to establish and introduce best practice throughout the business.

* Keep accurate and project documentation.

* Carry out testing if required and competent to do so.

* Carry out safety and quality inspections.

* Ensure the successful delivery of the handback phase of schemes.

* Appropriate technical qualification.

* Member of appropriate professional institution.

* Project engineering experience ideally within telecoms/rail/signalling.

* Able to drive or willing to learn.
