SAS Analyst - Management Console - Edinburgh - up to £55k
Due to the integration of a new SAS 9.4 Grid Platform, our leading Financial Services client currently require 2 x experienced SAS Platform Administrators in ensuring the stable and efficient operation of the new SAS server environment and end user applications.
THE ROLE:
> You will be responsible for the administration and support of a well governed and documented SAS Server environment (9.4) to support the banks modelling and analytics functions.
> You will provide subject matter expertise in the use and application of SAS processes and end user clients - supporting the business in the delivery of analytical requirements.
> Your experience will allow you to provide maintenance and support for SAS products during deployment. This will include upgrades and any changes to SAS products that impact SAS infrastructure.
> You will be open to the coaching and development of less experienced SAS colleagues as the team grows.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
> Experience in SAS GRID / Platform Administration is essential
> Strong SAS Management Console skills
> Previous exposure of SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Model Manager - Highly desirable.
> Experience in SAS version 9.3 and above
PERSONAL SKILLS / BACKGROUND
> Whilst a Financial Services background is desirable, all applications will be considered, regardless of background, if the technical skills are apparent with a desire to move into Financial Services.
> The ideal individual will be a strong communicator across numerous business areas - able to convey technical jargon to a non-technical audience.
This role offers the potential for an experienced and aspirational SAS Administrator to have the opportunity to pro actively drive and educate the business in the usage of their newly acquired SAS technologies (v9.4).
The salary potential is up to £55k (dependant on experience) with a competitive benefits package.
