Financial Analyst

Are you a skilled Financial Analyst keen to take up an uncommon, Edinburgh-based role in a global 'non-finance' business at a time they are both changing and developing?

This opportunity is for you if you are seeking a full-time, permanent position while looking to make a quick and important impact across the finance function of an major industrial player.

More specifically when in the post, you will use advanced Excel modelling techniques to produce model development and carry out precise analysis for stakeholders across the business and geographic spread of the organisation. This will support commercial decision making; deliver pricing analysis and performance assessment; while help in the review of performance initiatives and "what-if" scenarios.

In addition there will be a significant scope for your financial analysis to support strategic business growth goals - thus bring unique financial insights to senior management and have a strong impact to decision making and the future of the organisation and sites.

As a result of the duties involved in the role, you shall have to be able to demonstrate:

*Advanced numerical/financial manipulation - ideally being able to fully utilise systems such as (though not exclusive to): Excel, TM1, Crystal and/or JD Edwards - to carry out this fast paced role

*Proficiency in working with complex financial models and have a good understanding of integrity - to fit well with colleagues you will be working alongside through the business

*Commercial awareness and the ability to simplify complex financial data - so your workloads can directly be interpreted by both commercial and senior management colleagues when considering strategic options
