Are you a talented engineer with a successful track record of delivering projects to completion? If so, this is an amazing opportunity to take on an exciting role offering unique challenges and experiences.

Our client provides fibre-optic products and solutions to the telecommunications industry. They are now looking for a Project Engineer to join their team.

Within a fast-paced and stimulating environment, you’ll have the chance to work with some of the industry’s latest technologies and further enhance your technical knowledge.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing small fibre optic installation projects, ensuring they are completed within the agreed timescales, budgets and EHS requirements.

In this important role, you’ll manage both aerial and non-aerial projects, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standards.

Providing an outstanding level of service, you will identify customers’ individual needs and advise them on technical, installation and support requirements.

Carrying out project designs, you’ll produce cable and accessory plans, providing accurate cost analysis and BoMs. You’ll review technical and route details to ensure that proposed solutions are safe and practical.

Additionally, you will provide support to Project Managers with larger, more complex projects, from initial contractual review through to installation and payment.

As part of your role, you may be required to travel to customer sites within EMEA countries and the US.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- Previous project engineering experience

- A degree or HND and/or HNC level engineering or technical qualification

- A full driving licence and passport

Analytical and methodical, as a Project Engineer, you must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to thrive under pressure. You must also be a confident communicator with great organisation skills and an excellent eye for detail.

An understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems would be beneficial to your application, as would a high level of IT literacy, including MS Office and Projects. Experience and knowledge of high voltage electricity works would also be advantageous, as would knowledge of optic networks.
