FINTEC recruit is seeking an IT Technician for their client in Edinburgh. This role has arisen due to the expansion and growth of the company and is a permanent position with salary range £15,000 to £18,000 depending upon experience.

Responsibilities:

You will be working as part of a small team providing day-to-day support for a wide range of businesses, this will include the monitoring of the networks, servers, backup systems, and PC infrastructure. Involved in supporting business applications and advising business areas.

Professional, thorough and methodical, you will be able to complete tasks cautiously and with attention to detail while prioritising appropriately. All systems must be documented and processes developed with an emphasis on excellence, ensuring maximum system uptime.

Skills and Experience:

* College qualification in IT or industry experience in an IT Support role

* Must be IT literate, an excellent problem solver

* Excellent attention to detail

* Experience of working with IT networks servers and PC infrastructure in a support role

The successful candidate for the IT Technician role will have:

* Experience of Microsoft Exchange 2003-2010

* Working Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Windows Server 2003-2008

* Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)

* Understanding of VMWARE

* Experience in all Windows platforms

* Linux systems
