C++ Developer

My client is a major financial client in Glasgow who is looking for a talented C++ developer to join their global IT trading team. The successful candidate will be seasoned in financial services and will possess the following skills;

Essential

- Strong proficiency in C++, Python and XML technologies in a Linux server-side environment

- Solid understanding of FIX protocol

- Good understanding of and adherence to Software Development Lifecycle best practices such as Test Driven development, Continuous Integration etc

- Ability to work under pressure and in collaboration with multiple, remote teams

- Reliable effort estimation and ability to achieve deadlines

- Good problem solving skills

- Good communication skills, good English knowledge.

Desirable

- Experience of real-time low-latency environment, preferably but not necessarily in a financial context

- Sybase, Shell scripting
