Scotland's leading IT Support Microsoft Gold Partner - Glasgow

Scotland's Largest Cloud Solutions Partner based in the Central Belt are seeking a talented rounded, well-seasoned VDI/Microsoft Consultant who is keen to apply their knowledge and hands on technological exposure and act as a senior in the business for core VDI and Microsoft centric projects for the region's largest implementations/migrations!

The organisation is a cross- solutions vendor and Gold/Platinum partner with Microsoft, HP, VEEM, Citrix, VMWare & IBM to name a few. They provide technical solutions across Scotland and the UK and will fund certification as part of the core package!

The position offers the opportunity for a highly motivated, conscientious and well-seasoned Virtualisation Consultant (3+years' experience) with strong interpersonal skills and strong career aspirations to work with the latest and greatest technologies in a fast paced market with the opportunity to progress to Architect level within 2 years!

The key objectives for the IT Support Consultant will be to;

*Consult from pre-sales, design, build, config to post implementation support.

?Prepare technical plans and execution of plan to completion with customer acceptance

?Hardware and software installations based primarily around Microsoft / Hewlett Packard technologies at customer sites around the region.

?Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies

?Document all project work to a high standard

?Assist with post-installation issues where required

About You

Key VDI Skills & Requirements include:

?VMWare (VCP4/5 desirable) EXSi 4/5 -5.5

?Citrix (CCA Desirable) XenDesktop 6.x - 7.5

?Citrix XenApp 6.x

?Experience working in a similar role

Core Skills;

1.Microsoft Exchange 2007 to 2013

2.LAN / WAN / SAN technologies - Networking TCP/IP, VPN's and VLAN (Config and Troubleshooting)

3.Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and/or 2012 R2

4.VEEM Backup

5.CCNA or MCSE Server2012R2 Qualification desired.

Salary & Benefits

Salary £50,000/Annum + Car Allowance + Bonus + Funded Certs
